The like scam consists of tricking users by giving them false job offers that consist of giving likes to ads or videos or following a specific profile.

Initial contact
Scammers contact their victims at random through instant messaging apps, offering them payment in exchange for increasing followers, giving "likes" to videos or ads or doing tasks in apps related to cryptocurrency.

Generation of trust
To build trust, the victims receive a small compensation for the first tasks they do. This initial payment is used to bring credibility and legitimacy to the supposed work.

Escalation of the fraud
After receiving the first payment, the victims are added to a group chat with the person publishing the tasks, other victims and bots. The bots simulate real users and publish fake screenshots showing supposed profits.
3.
Increase in difficulty
The tasks become increasingly more complex and offer better rewards. Now, they ask unknown recipients to send them money with the promise of returning it, with a bonus.
4.
End of the scam
The amount of money invested increases gradually until, at a certain point, the promised reimbursement is not paid and all contact with the victim is severed.
