The new European Payment Services Directive 2 (PSD2) has introduced new security requirements for making online purchases. As a result, in a few months, you will have to confirm your identity to authorise your online purchases. You can do this through the CaixaBankNow app:

When making an online purchase, you will receive a notification in the CaixaBankNow app on your mobile phone.
Click on the notification or sign in to the CaixaBankNow app.
Authorise the payment through the app.
Go back to the merchant website and complete your purchase.

If you already have the CaixaBankNow app, check that notifications are enabled via the following menu path:
What do you need? --> Settings and My Profile --> Settings --> Manage notifications
Notifications must be enabled in order to receive notifications on your mobile device that will help you to authorise your purchases.
Forgotten your online banking login password?
If you have forgotten your online banking login password used to enter the application, go to www.caixabank.es and click on "Forgotten your login password?" in the top-right menu. You will need to have your credit card at hand.
Recommendations to strengthen the security of your payment methods
- If you lose your mobile device, call the CaixaBankNow Customer Service line (900 40 40 90), and we will block your CaixaBankNow ID.
- It is essential that your mobile phone number and email address are up to date. These are the means by which we will communicate with you in the event that we detect any incident that may affect your security. To update your personal details, go to CaixabankNow, in Settings (top right) > Change my personal details > Change telephone numbers or Change email address.
- And remember, if you notice a suspicious transaction on any of your cards, you can limit the functions of your cards yourself, limiting withdrawals at ATMs or online purchases and temporarily blocking your cards quickly and easily. Click here for more information on this process.
